Derek Rulon

 Hi! My name is Derek Rulon. I am 16 years old and raise sheep in Cottonwood, California. I have raised both breeding and market sheep through 4-H for 8 years and have bred Hampshire, Suffolk, and purebred Southdowns throughout my years. 

  I show my sheep at two county fairs and multiple jackpot shows as well. Outside of 4-H, I am the 2025-2026 Superior Region FFA President, and the past region vice president. In FFA, I compete in meats judging and public speaking competitions and am very passionate about agricultural leadership. 

 Outside of the agricultural world, I run varsity track and cross country for my high school. I also love hunting and fishing, and spend most of my free time outdoors. I love raising sheep and put a lot of hard work in to make my sheep top notch.
